One of the benefits of working in the comic-community is watching the emotions of new comics as they experience their first big laugh. Standing in front of strangers and getting a laugh for the first time is a huge thrill! When they feel that rush, it is visible and obvious.
Last night I was fortunate to witness another graduation showcase of the Comedy Zone workshop. 8-graduates performed along with 7-regulars. That made for a long night, but the packed house provided an incredible atmosphere!
If you’re a student of comedy, or have any interest in watching people discover the art, I recommend you attend a graduation show.
